Readings

Many readings for our course will be available via the Moodle page in the Readings Folder. However, you will need to purchase the following book for the course:

• William Duiker, Contemporary World History, 7th edition (Cengage, 2021)

Duiker provides an overview of the last 150 years of world history, moving between thematic sections and regional studies. We will read much of this book – and it will be a reference for you throughout the course.

Recommended Book

The following book is recommended. It is available for purchase through the bookstore and online. There are copies on reserve in the library as well.

• Mary Lynn Rampolla, A Pocket Guide to Writing in History (any recent edition, Bedford/St. Martins)
