How to get a grasp on the world today? The daily news is often a litany of atrocities. And history often puts the emphasis on conflict and crisis. For these reasons, you need some alternative approaches to understand the world in some different perspectives.
Consider the following: travel writing that goes beyond the headlines (with its own biases of course), cultural entryways to the world – music and movies and food. What else? Campus organizations that celebrate (and inform the campus about) different cultures and study abroad.
